Network Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

Network infrastructure configuration, support and management including availability, connectivity, performance, security and protection
Troubleshoot network issues and ensure rapid resolution
Participate in establishing and implementing network backup and disaster recovery policies and practices
Assist in the development of strategy and design for the company*s network/communications infrastructure
Work closely with members of the applications and systems teams
Provide support to the IT service desk and desktop support teams
Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation
Track new security risks and remediation planning/implementation
Coordinate vendor escalations and support for critical issues, acting as a bridge between the vendors’ engineering resources and Fortress’s internal staff
Research new and emerging technologies for use at Fortress
Assist in the development of standard operating procedures for network operations processes
Assist in the management of all network infrastructure assets
Assist in efforts to prepare for and participate in audits regarding the network infrastructure.
Work on IT projects as assigned
